My annual holiday party met online on Sunday to make cannolis. States represented: NY, MA, VA, NC, SC, and CO. Attendees included: two sisters, four sisters-in-law, three friends who feel like sisters, one mom, five daughters, two sons-in-law, four nephews, four grandbabies, two dogs, one husband (who helped!), one smoke alarm, one spill, dozens of cookies, laughing, a huge mess described as though a squirrel dragged a bag of flour through the kitchen, wine, sugar, ricotta, chocolate, and me. I enjoyed the whole day.
Saturn and Jupiter met in the sky in a Great Conjunction at sunset on Winter Solstice. What a beautiful night.
Someone I love got her first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. Finally have a reason to hope, and physical relief.

Bake some cookies. Stay home. Make a wreath. Stay home. Play a game (flip a water bottle, stack 15 cups and time yourself, roll a golf ball to the edge of a table, play swords with empty wrapping paper rolls). Stay home. Read a book. Stay safe.
